Qualifications:

Nurses:
- Minimum of two years recent OR, PACU or ICU experience
- Licensure in the State of Texas
- Current BCLS, ACLS (for PACU and ICU nurses) |
Surgical Technologists:
- Minimum of two years recent operating room experience
- Current BCLS |
X-Ray Technologist:
- Minimum of one year recent operating room experience
- Licensure in the State of Texas
- Current BCLS |
TexMed Screening Procedure:
All applicants are carefully screened. Each applicant must complete an application form, a competency skills checklist, a competency screening examination based on their specialty, and the core monitory testing including (OSHA, HIPPA, and Age Specific Patient Care, etc.). A score of 70% and above is required for employment. These tests are based on professional nursing standards and practices.
Once the applicant has completed the above tests and has received a passing score, a drug screen and criminal background check will be ordered.
Applicants should plan on staying at the TexMed Staffing office for approximately two hours to complete the credentialing process. Applicants should bring the following documents with them to their interview appointment:
Drivers License
Professional Licenses and or Certificates
BCLS Card
ACLS, PALS (if applicable)
Evidence of a current Negative TB Test or X-Ray Results
Vaccination Records
Hepatitis Vaccination Record
Social Security Card or Passport
Voided Check for Direct Deposit
